Here we are! Already mid-January and our good-intentions list for this year is still freshly written!…
“This 2020…
…I will definitely take care of my body and health”,
…I will exercise more”
…I will pursue that job I’ve dreaming about”
…I will stop that not-so-healthy habit I’ve been struggling with (yeah!)”
…I will step into that new personal/professional path out of my comfort zone”
And the list goes on…
We all know, how it goes as we stumble upon our stressful daily life…
What is more, regardless of the root cause of stress, the fact of sustaining certain eating habits over time is, in itself, a source of strain for the body that can contribute dramatically to perpetuate the stress or anxiety we’re already experiencing.
The situation is a bit complex and it works like a vicious spiral:
- We have stress (or anxiety) for “X” reasons
- This leads us to put oureating habits on autopilot, guided by the symptoms of stress and the urgent need to soothe them.
- As a result, our food choices are often not the best ones to bring our bodies back into balance, but rather the opposite: they perpetuate a cycle of “stress/false relief/stress/false relief” that may end up seriously affecting, both our physical and mental wellbeing.
Does this pattern sound familiar?
And
- Are you determined to keep stress from“eating” your 2020 good intentions?
- This year, are you committed to keepingyour stress from being the driving force behind your eating habits?
In that case, welcome to the seminar LET’S STOP EATING OUR STRESS, taking place on February 13th here with us in Zurich, 18.30h – 21.00h.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- Which foods directly affect stress and anxiety, both positively and negatively.
- How our autopilot responses run the day and why that affects our food choices.
- Which stress management tools are non-negotiable and why.
- WHAT, HOW and WHEN toeat, if we are currently going through a period in which stress and cravings are the keynotes of our day-to-day life
- Which foods to add? Which ones to omit? How often? How to combine them?
- Some key nutrients to restore our permanently over-vigilant nervous system.
- How to differentiate emotional from real hunger (i.e. physiological), what triggers the hunger signals in our bodies, and practical tips to recognize and to manage both of them.

Teresa has an MSc in Agronomy and Food Engineering. After working in Spain in the food and manufacturing industry for more than 15 years she moved to Zurich, where she received an MAS in Nutrition and Health from the ETH. She also got certified as a Holistic Health Coach by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York and further specialized in Hormone Health. Currently, she continues deepening her knowledge about the mind-body connection at the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, in the USA.
Teresa firmly believes that our plate reflects our complex inner world and that many of the choices we make around our food are nothing more than the automatic projection of unconscious patterns, established a long time ago. She guides and encourages her clients to uncover these connections, and supports them to find a sustainable and healthy way to recover their vitality and make peace with their plate.
